These photos are facing west, the rain catchment barrel is behind and to my right.
Lettuce is carefully thinned and eaten, to give room for some heads to fully form- such a yummy job!
This is where we did some soil building with the ’sheet mulch relay race’- the scarlet runner beans are just beginning to pop up, and chili peppers border the bed. There are also bush bean and soybean seeds planted here.
Half the tomato patch, the patch of calendula in the center has transformed- that area is now planted thick with basil!
In both of these photos, you can see the peach tree at the top of the ‘hill’, she is nurturing peaches the size of marbles this month-this is very exciting!! The Asian pear is with fruit as well, no photo of that, yet.
